1. What is Fluoroplastic cable ?
Fluoroplastic cable (commonly known as "Teflon cable") is a type of single or multiple core cable with Fluorine related particle material . It's considered as the best temperature tenacity cable up to now compare LSZH or other material .
According to different material , it can bear the temperature of max. 300 degrees celcius and maintain basic function as wire under low tempertaure of min. -150 degrees celcius .
2. What's the characteristic of Fluoroplastic cable ?
Other than high temperature tenacity , Fluoroplastic cable also possess the characteristic of excellent thermal stability and mechanical wear-resistant electrical insulation properties, strong acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, fire resistance, high oxygen index, low smoke halogen free, no aging, easy stripping, high strength and friction resistance due to the physicla property of non-viscosity, heat resistance, sliding, moisture resistance, wear resistance, corrosion resistance of Fluoroplastic material .
3. What's the extrusion material for Fluoroplastic cable and the difference between them ?And can I produce all material in one extruder ?
Generally , Fluorine extrusion material include but not limited to FEP , PFA , ETFE , PVDF , PTFE , while PTFE is generally different from the rest of Fluororine material and can't be extruded with other material . So we won't talk about it here .
FEP: The non-stick coating melts during baking and forms a non-porous film. It has excellent chemical stability and excellent non-adhesive properties. The maximum operating temperature is 200
degree celcius
.
PFA: The non-stick coating will melt and form a non-porous film during baking, just like FEP. The advantages of PFA are higher continuous use temperature (260°C) and greater toughness. It is especially suitable for use in the field of anti-adhesion and chemical corrosion resistance under high temperature conditions.
ETFE: ETFE is a copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene, the toughest fluoropolymer, which forms a highly durable coating with excellent chemical resistance and can operate continuously at temperatures up to 150
degree celcius
.
4. What's the conductor of Fluoroplastic material ?
For electrical or electronic use cable , it usually adopt Oxygen-free Copper , tinned Copper . For heating cable , it usually adopt Nickel alloy .
5. What's the application field for Fluoroplastic cable ?
Heat-resistant installation
In the need of 150℃ ~ 250℃ high temperature device wiring, especially applied to temperature compensation wires.
OA, FA Industrial
Widely used in highly reliable OA device wiring, advanced industrial FA device important parts wiring, CO2 welding machine wire and control wire, robot wiring and so on.
For automotive wiring
It can be used in wiring and Fuel Gage sensors that require physical strength and chemical resistance.
For ships
It can be applied to wiring wires for Marine installations requiring durability and chemical resistance.
Iron and steel works
It can be used in a variety of control devices requiring heat resistance, especially in places requiring extreme harsh environments.
Electrical appliances
Widely used in the need of heat resistance, chemical resistance and high frequency wave electrical appliances, mainly used in microwave oven, gas stove, electric iron, electric stove, rice cooker and other electrical wiring.
Thermal power plant, chemical plant wiring
Teflon wires are used for wiring around devices that require an ambient temperature of more than 250°C and exposed to oil and other places, and are used for internal wiring in chemical plants and internal wiring of chemical devices that handle corrosive substances.
For aerospace industry
It can be used in Computer devices requiring high reliability, coaxial cable, cutting-edge aerospace industry.
Communication device
Suitable for heat exchanger wiring that requires heat resistance, or for communication device wiring in harsh environments, especially where high frequency baud is required.
6. What's the standard for Fluoroplastic cable ?
Currently the international acknowledged organization who make standard for Fluoroplastic cable is UL and VDE . The most regular standard isUL758 and VDE0250 . Conductor usually adopt AWG standard . Enclosed is a regular size chart for Fluroplastic cable , for reference to those who want to start business in this area .
